As Moses freed the Israelites from the captivity of Egypt, so Christ by baptism reserves the catechumens from the yoke of satan.
We are through the Sacrament of Baptism incorporated into the new nation: the Church, which with God enters into a covenant superior to the covenant of Sinai.
COLLECT
D. Let us kneel.
S. Arise.
Almighty, eternal God, for the honor of Thy name multiply what Thou didst promise to the faith of the fathers, and increase by holy adoption the sons of promise, that, what the saints of old did not doubt would be, Thy Church may know to have been already in great part fulfilled. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end. S. Amen.
What if they gave a war and nobody came? OR conversely - What if they rebuilt the Temple of Jerusalem (the Second Temple - NOT the Freemasons Temple of Solomon) and the Antichrist just didn't show up. It seems they have done just that and the Son of Perdition didn't show up. Thank you God for that. I agree with this comment: "There is a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem where Jews can worship as they please. It does no one any harm."
This is all starting to make a great deal of sense. There are two major upheavals prophesied concerning cities in the Apocalypse. One, about Rome (the Vatican is on the hill called Janiculum - one the seven hills of Rome), says Rome will be completely destroyed for consorting with demons. It is in the Apocalypse, 18th chapter. It hasn't happened yet, so it must happen. Since Vatican II, the denizens in the Vatican have been working full time to see that it does.
The other is about Jerusalem. It doesn't say it is destroyed, only that there is a great earthquake and people glorified God. Here it is:
The Measuring of the Temple
Rv:11:
1 ¶ And there was given me a reed, like unto a rod. And it was said to me: Arise, and measure the temple of God and the altar and them that adore therein. … Scripture reference – Ezek.: 40:5
2 But the court which is without the temple, cast out and measure it not: because it is given unto the Gentiles. And the holy city they shall tread under foot, two and forty months: [1] … Scripture reference – Lk.: 21:24!
3 ¶ And I will give unto my two witnesses: [2] and they shall prophesy, a thousand two hundred sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. … Scripture reference –
The Two Witnesses
4 These are the two olive trees and the two candlesticks that stand before the Lord of the earth. … Scripture reference – Zach.: 4:14
5 And if any man will hurt them, fire shall come out of their mouths and shall devour their enemies. And if any man will hurt them, in this manner must he be slain.
6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: And they have power over waters, to turn them into blood and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. … Scripture reference – 3 Rg. (1 Kings): 17:1; Exod. 7:20!
7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast [3] that ascendeth out of the abyss shall make war against them and shall overcome them and kill them. 7 … Scripture reference – Rev.: 12:17; 13:1!, 7; 17:8; 19:19; Dan.: 7:21
8 And their bodies shall lie in the streets of the great city which is called spiritually, Sodom and Egypt: where their Lord also was crucified.
9 And they of the tribes and peoples and tongues and nations shall see their bodies for three days and a half: and they shall not suffer their bodies to be laid in sepulchres.
10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them and make merry: and shall send gifts one to another, because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt upon the earth. … Scripture reference – Jn.: 16:20
11 And after three days and a half, [4] the spirit of life from God entered into them. And they stood upon their feet: and great fear fell upon them that saw them. … Scripture reference – Ezek.: 37:10!; Acts:5:5!
12 And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud: and their enemies saw them. … Scripture reference –
13 And at that hour there was made a great earthquake: and the tenth part of the city fell. And there were slain in the earthquake, names of men, seven thousand: and the rest were cast into a fear and gave glory to the God of heaven. … Scripture reference – Rev.:16:18!;
Acts: 16: 26!
14 ¶ The second woe is past: and behold the third woe will come quickly. … Scripture reference – Rev.: 9:12
The Seventh Trumpet
15 And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord’s and his Christ’s, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen. … Scripture reference – Rev.: 8:7!; 12:10!; Dan.2:44!; Mic.: 4:7!
16 And the four and twenty ancients who sit on their seats in the sight of God, fell on their faces and adored God, saying: … Scripture reference – Rev.: 4:4; 4:10!
17 We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art and who wast and who art to come: because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and thou hast reigned. … Scripture reference – Rev.: 1:4, 8; 4:8; 19:16
18 And the nations were angry: and thy wrath is come. And the time of the dead, that they should be judged and that thou shouldest render reward to thy servants the prophets and the saints, and to them that fear thy name, little and great: and shouldest destroy them who have corrupted the earth.
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail.
(DRV) … Scripture reference – Rev.: 15:5; 8:5!; 16:18!
[1] -Ver. 2. Forty-two months: three years and a half. The forty two months of thirty days each correspond to the twelve hundred and sixty days of the prophesying of the two witnesses and to the three years and a half of the woman in the wilderness. The period of forty-two months is the symbol of a period, limited in length, and under the control of Him who governs all things. Since we are given no reason to see it otherwise, and the Church Fathers teach that it is a literal length of time at the end of this age in the final fulfillment of this prophecy, we must believe that it is.
[2] -Ver. 3. Two witnesses: Elias and Enoch, according to the Church Fathers and Doctors.
[3] -Ver. 7. Beast: no beast as yet has been mentioned. This beast symbolizes Antichrist.
[4] -Ver. 11. Three days and a half: this refers to the resurrection of the witnesses.
Enoch witnesses to the Gentiles and Elijah to the Jews. Indisputable witnesses for all who love God, both Gentile and Jew. The 7,000 enemies of God and His two witnesses are slain, but the rest give glory to God. Notice that we are not told whether the enemies are Jews or Gentiles or what - just enemies, probably both. 7,000 is complete, as a symbolic number. There is in this passage NO reason to suppose that a rebuilt temple of any kind is required for the fulfillment of this prophecy since the temple is in heaven. "19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail." Anything on earth is a paradigmatic similitude of the war in the heavenlies, and no more. The final Word on this belongs to God who forestalled, by supernatural fire, the rebuilding of a Temple on the Temple mount with a priesthood and animal sacrifice during the reign of Julian the apostate in the fourth century A.D. Jesus Christ said this about the complete destruction of the stone temple where it stood and nothing about its being rebuilt, Matthew 24:2 And he answering, said to them: "Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed."
Obviously the Noble Sanctuary should be left alone, especially the Mosques there. Do you notice that both Mosques and Synagogues are lacking in idols? That won't offend God at all. The Freemasons' nightmare of their black magic temple is another thing entirely. That can't be allowed.
It is stated plainly that the Antichrist will kill the two witnesses, with nothing about them being the on temple grounds at that time, but God will resurrect them. Antichrist had more to do with Caesars and Gentile Gnostics in the early Church.
See the Temple that has been built, spoken of below under the heading "The Great Synagogue Jerusalem Heichal Shlomo The Great Synagogue."
Then see this about that Temple and the Ten Commandments.
Heichal Shlomo - The Wolfson Museum of Jewish Art
The monumental stone edifices looming at the far end of King George Street in downtown Jerusalem contain several sites of interest: the Great Synagogue and its Ten Commandments-themed architecture; the central offices of the Chief Rabbinate; and the Wolfson Museum.
Much like the Judaica section of the Israel Museum, the Wolfson Museum packs in a massive collection of antique and rare Jewish ritual artifacts from the last two millennia years of Jewish history.
The museum's permanent and temporary exhibitions on Jewish identity and Jewish culture include topics such as Judaica and heritage, Jewish identity and symbols, the cultural history and the importance of the artifact in Israeli culture. The museum's collection includes objects ranging from the time of the Second Temple to the present, from communities located the globe over.
In addition to the museum, a visit to Hechal Shlomo may include the Renanim Synagogue, with its 18th century Italian ark and its stained glass windows, a temporary exhibition gallery of contemporary Israeli art and a panoramic view of Jerusalem and surrounding hills from the roof.
Then this comment from the earlier article about the Ten Commandments.
When Noah landed from the flood from the ark which God had commanded him to build, he offered sacrifice to God in thanksgiving, which is a type of Christ (Genesis 8:20 And Noe built an altar unto the Lord: and taking of all cattle and fowls that were clean, offered holocausts [sacrifices] upon the altar.); he did not receive commandments - it was Moses on the mount who received commandments for all men from Christ who appeared to Moses in the shekinah glory of God and gave him the ten commandments for all men. ---NOT seven --- TEN. The decalogue.
There is a Jewish conspiracy, it began with the conspiracy against Christ 2,000 years ago. There is a One World Government conspiracy that centers on the Vatican, replete with every medieval nonsense of the Crusades including star chambers etc.
There is a rebuilt temple in Jerusalem where Jews can worship as they please. By the way, pray for the Jews, Christ came through them, leave it up to God what He does for them. Don't, however, leave it up to antipope Benediktos or the likes of false prophet Hagee etc.
The Great Synagogue Jerusalem Heichal Shlomo The Great Synagogue
Jerusalem Great Synagogue
The Great Synagogue in Jerusalem was built in 1982, this gigantic prayer hall lives up to its name. The doors leading into the marble floored and chandelier lined foyer are designed to replicate the grand entrance to the first and second Temples. Enjoy the beauty of the two storey stained glass windows and plush seating. The services are traditional as women sit on the second floor balcony. The lobby contains a collection of mezuzahs (small rectangle box that is affixed to the doorposts of Jewish homes) from around the world. Shabbat services are Friday evening and Saturday morning.
As early as 1923 the Chief Rabbi’s of Israel, Abraham Kook and Jacob Meir, mooted plans for a large central synagogue in Jerusalem. It was over 30 years later in 1958 when Heichal Shlomo, seat of the Israeli Rabbinate, was founded, that a small synagogue was established within the building. As time progressed and the need for more space grew, services were moved and held in the foyer of Heichal Shlomo. Soon afterwards, when the premises could not hold the number of worshippers attending, it was decided that a new, much larger synagogue be built.
Heichal Shlomo located adjacent to the Great Synagogue on King George Street, Jerusalem. The building currently contains the Jewish Heritage Museum, Renanim Synagogue, office space and an auditorium.
The plot of land next to Heichal Shlomo was purchased with the efforts of Dr Moshe Avrohom Yaffe, chairman of the Board of Management of Heichal Shlomo.
The main sponsor for construction of the new synagogue was Sir Isaac Wolfson, a Jewish philanthropist form Britain. The Wolfson family consecrated the synagogue in the memory of the six million Jews who perished in the holocaust and to the fallen soldiers of Israel Defense Forces.
The style of the building was modeled on the Jewish Temple which once stood in Jerusalem. The inauguration took place on Tu B'Av 1982. Naftali Hershtik was appointed the chief cantor of the synagogue, a position he holds to this day.
The sanctuary seats 850 men and 550 women.
A comprehensive private collection of mezuzah cases is on show inside the entrance hall.
The First Temple building inspired this impressive structure
A short walking distance from King David Street is the former seat of the Israeli Rabbinate and of the Supreme Rabbinical Court. The First Temple building inspired this impressive structure. Next door there is a magnificent synagogue and museum for artistic Jewish holy artifacts.

See these for what is occurring even now and in the future. Although rebuilding the temple is not required to fulfill the words of prophecy in the above passage:
Rev. 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven: and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple. And there were lightnings and voices and an earthquake and great hail.
Nevertheless, the Church Fathers are in complete concordance that the following requires the rebuilding of the false temple that the Antichrist will sit in:
2Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, 4 Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. 5 Remember you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
BEWARE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COMING OF ANTICHRIST AND THE FALSE PROPHET WHO GOES BEFORE HIm nor with the temple of the antichrist in jerusalem - to have anything to do with any of that is to be damned by God
