This is a scene from Joyeux Noel (Merry Christmas), a Christmas film set during WW1. Scottish, French and German soldiers fraternise on Christmas Eve (based on a true story).
The War to end all wars World War I, the Great War. It didn't do that, but one day Christ will return and He will end all wars and a great deal more.
And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people; and God himself with them shall be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.
The water and tree of life. The conclusion.
And he shewed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street thereof, and on both sides of the river, was the tree of life, bearing twelve fruits, yielding its fruits every month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no curse any more; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him. And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads. And night shall be no more: and they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten them, and they shall reign for ever and ever.
He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
The Nativity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords
Luke 2: For, this day, is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David. And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes, and laid in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God, and saying: Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will.
