To the Church at Sardis

2 Be watchful and strengthen the things that remain, which are ready to die. For I find not thy works full before my God.

4 But thou hast a few names in Sardis which have not defiled their garments: and they shall walk with me in white, because they are worthy. … Scripture reference – Jude 23

To the Church at Philadelphia

7 ¶ And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia write: These things saith the Holy One and the true one, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth and no man shutteth, [2] shutteth and no man openeth: … Scripture reference – Rev. 6:10; Isaiah: 22:22!
8 I know thy works. Behold, I have given before thee a door opened, which no man can shut: because thou hast a little strength and hast kept my word and hast not denied my name. … Scripture reference – Rev. 4:1: 1Cor. 16:9; 2Cor.2:12; Rev. 2:13!
9 Behold, I will bring of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will make them to come and adore before thy feet. And they shall know that I have loved thee. … Scripture reference – Rev. 2:9; Isaiah: 60:14!

12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for your reward is very great in heaven: for so they persecuted the prophets, that were before you.
13 You are the salt of the earth.  *But if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted?  It is good for nothing any more, but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men.
14 You are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a mountain cannot be hid.
15 *Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may give light to all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, *that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 *For amen, I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall not pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 *Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say to you, that unless your justice abound *more than that of the Scribes and of the Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
